Top 5 things to enjoy in Chicago during Phase 3

After Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced that the city would move into the next phase of reopening, a number of businesses started preparing and getting ready for the return of visitors to the city. These businesses will still need to adhere to certain restrictions and operate at limited capacity to ensure the safety of visitors as set out by the local authorities. This means that as a visitor to Chicago you can enjoy a whole lot of fun and activities with your family and friends. Here are several things you can enjoy during Phase 3:

Dine at the Best Bars and Restaurants

Grab your favorite cup of coffee, savor that well-cooked steak, or enjoy a glass of wine while catching up with friends or family at some of Chicago's best restaurants and bars and take in the sights of the city. Most restaurants are urging their clients to maintain social distancing and wear masks. The majority have gone the extra mile to provide properly spaced tables for outdoor dining, while others are paying much attention to proper sanitation. Which restaurant would you book a table at?

Visit Non-lakefront Parks

The phased reopening will relax restrictions imposed to stimulate the economy and to encourage people to travel again. When you visit Chicago or are planning to visit the city, not only will you be able to enjoy catching up with friends and family at local bars and restaurants, you'll also be able to enjoy some relaxation at the non-lakefront parks and create memories. You might always have wanted to visit Cloud Gate, snap some pictures at The Bean or simply walk through some of the best parks in the city. Well. you know what that opportunity. You can visit these parks during Phase 3:

Millennium Park

Grant Park

Maggie Daley Park

Washington Park

River and Lake Cruises and Rides

After months of being stuck at home, give the city's landscape the attention it deserves. Visit the nearby lakes and rivers and enjoy a few fascinating cruises and speedboat rides. The lakeside is an attractive spot where you can practice social distancing and have fun. Bring your best camera or smartphone to record and document great moments as you sit back and enjoy the rides.

Spend a day at Navy Pier

With Navy Pier being one of most visited attractions in Chicago, you'll be able to spend an entire day walking around, eating ice-cream and enjoying the views of the city. It also provides you with a great opportunity to break away from the city without actually leaving the city. Take your family and spend some quality time at Navy Pier, breathing in the fresh air and soaking up the sun.

Get in Shape

You may have gained some weight after spending time locked in your home. While enjoying the sights and sounds of the city, you can work on getting that summer body ready by hitting the gym available in all of our apartments. They offer state-of-the art equipment and are cleaned on a daily basis to ensure that our guests are safe and can exercise comfortably. However, if an indoor gym is not for you, take an early morning jog in some of the parks (see Visit non-lakefront parks above) in the city. After you're done you can stop by some local coffee shops and grab a freshly brewed cup of coffee as you take in the sights of the city.

The Phase 3 reopening is a great way for you to explore and enjoy the Windy City, but remember to always follow the guidelines and other restrictions put in place by the local authorities. Enjoy your trip to Chicago.
